Ive been working alot latly on my dissertation, obviously trying to not give it too much attention, but it is worth alot of credits.

I’ve been looking into the core subject of my dissertation, Transhumanism.  This is because im doing all the reading neccesary for my first chapter about the history and overview of transhumanism. One piece im reading is the philosophy of transhumanism by Max More (man who coined transhumanism in its currently used context).  Its immensly interesting, especially as i have an A at Alevel in Philosophy.

In my research im looking at the origins of transhumanism, looking at how as humans we’ve looked for devine intervention to achieve the goals we now can with technology. how we humans have searched for the goals that transhumanism aspires to for thousands of years, a major example of pre-technology transhumanist thinking was that of Leonardo da vinci, especially when he started seeing the correlation between the bodies workings and the mechanisms of a machine.

A major detail in the history of transhumanism is that of Humanism and posthumanism, the aspritation and pursuit of pushing the human body to greater heights, with both humanism, posthumanism and  even extropianism, this old pursuit of pushing man to a new evolution has many ways of taking shape.  This pursuit has led to the point where technology has shown a vast capability to take the aims of these movements and acheive them, this has created transhumanism.

From here i will write the history of transhumanism and examples of it, which will hopefully lead to the next work being done on the future and where transhumanism is headed, allowing me to make correlations between that future and todays society and its degree of transhumanism.
